After graduating Walters State Community College with an A.S. in Business, Jason worked as a full-time customer service agent for Philips Consumer Electronics while simultaneously making the Dean’s List at Carson-Newman College every semester. Two years after graduating with a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance & Accounting, Jason enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Tennessee, while working full-time as a Marketing Specialist for Philips, and carrying a full course load. Prior to enrolling in college, Jason worked with Reed Builders for several years, specializing in the remodeling of existing homes as well as complete new home construction.
Later, after spending 10 years with Philips Consumer Electronics, Jason advanced to Senior Product Marketing Manager with Ingersoll-Rand in Carmel, Indiana. Jason knew his time would be short at Ingersoll-Rand due to the impending mortgage crisis and housing market crisis. Being in the Schlage Lock division of I-R, Jason was privy to leading indicators of the housing market and chose to obtain his Indiana Real Estate License. Once the crises were in full-swing, and after being part of a mass-layoff event, Jason went to work for the #1 Real Estate Company in Indiana, the F. C. Tucker Company, Inc. Jason was Rookie of the Year for number of transactions and remained with Tucker for several years, even after moving back to Tennessee as part of their referral network. In 2009 Jason focused his attention closer to home (Jefferson County, Tennessee). Having already become a Broker in Indiana, Jason obtained his Tennessee Real Estate license in 2008 and joined the firm Southern Homes & Farms, LLC where he would remain until starting Rankin Real Estate Services in 2018.
With 20+ Years of marketing, customers service, management and real estate experience Jason has sold and leased millions of dollars in Real Estate from Northern Indiana to Florida to Oregon. These days, Jason focuses his attention on the Jefferson, Sevier, Hamblen, Cocke, Knox, Grainger, & Hawkins County areas of East Tennessee.
